After picking up a swag of Tui's at last nights Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, The Naked & Famous' Thom Powers felt disgruntled after reading a Twitter posting by Anika Moa.

It's been a successful day for NZ band The Naked & Famous after they won the Philip Hall Radar Award at the NME Shockwaves Awards last night in London.

The award is given to the band who are considered by NME to be the best new act.

Last years winners The Drums presented the award to the group. Previous winners included Franz Ferdinand, Glasvegas and Big Pink.
