Bret Michaels has filed a lawsuit against the US TV network CBS for an incident that happened at the 2009 Tony Awards [see video below].

Poison frontman Bret Michaels is undergoing surgery in Arizona to fix a hole in his heart.  

The hole was discovered last year when Michaels was in hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage and then a stroke. Bret Michaels is to undergo surgery to repair a hole in his heart. 

The 47 year old has suffered from ill health this year. The Poison frontman had an emergency appendectomy in April, a near fatal brain hemorrhage just a few weeks later and then a stroke.  It was during this time in hospital that doctors discovered Michaels had a hole in his heart which he'd had since birth.

Bret Michaels has stated that he feels "lucky" after actor Gary Coleman passed away after suffering a very similar hemorrhage to himself.
