Ashlee Simpson is filing for divorce from Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.  

Simpson filed papers at the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, citing "irreconcilable differences" for the split.  The singer has applied for joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their two-year-old son Bronx.

Pete Wentz has insisted one of the main reasons Fall Out Boy split up was so the band members could remain friends.
