The upcoming Jane's Addiction album 'The Great Escape Artist' has been delayed.  

Intially set to come out on September 26th, the album has now been pushed back to October 17th.  

The album features TV On The Radio band member Dave Sitek on bass, who replaced former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan after he left the line up in September last year.

Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello has claimed that Jane's Addiction were the band that led the change in sound back in the early 90's, not Nirvana.

Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell has explained the band are still looking for a permanent bass player, even though they recently recruited Dave Sitek for the role.
