Katy Perry and her husband Russell Brand have announced they are getting a divorce.  

36 year old Brand, who married Perry [27] in October last year in India, has filed for divorce in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences.  The comedian released a statement that read "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
