U2 frontman Bono is set to become the richest rock star on the planet thanks to Facebook. 

The singer owns 1.5% of Facebook shares through his private equity firm Elevation Partners.  It's estimated that when Facebook floats on the stock exchange later this year, Bono's shares will be worth just under $1 billion.

Bono is set to make almost $1 Billion (US) thanks to investing in Facebook back in November 2009.
