Brian O'Connor, bassist from the band Eagles of Death Metal, has been diagnosed with cancer.

Muse, Vampire Weekend, The Dead Weather and Florence And The Machine are all confirmed to appear on the soundtrack album for the film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Jack White has confessed that when trying to come up with a contemporary song for the new Dead Weather album he thought of Lady Gaga.
