Simon Cowell Fires Back At Paul Weller

Simon Cowell has defended criticism against his shows from Paul Weller.  

During a press conference [see below] for the talent show 'The X-Factor', Cowell said "With Elton [John] we have had this love/hate relationship. I love him because he is bitchy. Weller - I have not read anything he has said which is interesting. If Paul Weller put out a good record I would put him on the show."

Weller had previously said shows like The X-Factor and American Idol were "very cheap programming and the lowest common denominator stuff".
