Lou Reed Denies Making Susan Boyle Cry

Small

Lou Reed has been accused of making Susan Boyle cry.

Reports emerged that Reed wouldn't let Susan Boyle sing his hit 'Perfect Day' on the TV Show 'America's Got Talent' because he wasn't a fan of the singer.  Boyle was said to have left the tapings in tears.

However, representatives for Reed have stated that it had nothing to do with him and it was in fact a licensing glitch.  The song had only been cleared for the UK market and not the US.

A statement released on behalf of Boyle read "On a plane heading back to London with a heavy heart," and that she "looks forward to being able to perform her new songs very soon".
