Courtney Love Has Her Twitter Account Suspended

Courtney Love has had her Twitter account suspended as the singer prepares to defend herself in court against allegations she defamed a fashion designer on the social networking website.

Dawn Simorangkir is claiming that Love damaged her reputation back in March 2009 with a series of attacking Tweets.  Love apparently called the fashion designer a "prostitute" and a "thief."

Lawyers representing both sides are meeting this week at a mandatory settlement conference in Los Angeles.  If a deal can't be reached a trial will begin early next month.
