American Idol Runner-Up Dropped By Label
David Archuleta, the runner-up from Season 7 of American Idol, has been dropped by his label Jive Records.
A spokesman for Jive confirmed to the Hollywood Reporter "David was released from our roster."
Archuleta's 2010 album, The Other Side of Down, only manage to sell 67,000 copies in the United States. In comparison, his 2008 self-titled debut sold almost a million copies.
