Adam Lambert Clears Up Queen Rumours
Adam Lambert has cleared up reports which claim the singer said he is to be the new frontman for Queen.
The Daily Star reported that Lambert would perform with the band at the Sonisphere Festival tour throughout Europe this June. Lambert told the publication "The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some fucking great songs. It's to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of." He added "It'd be cool to record with Brian and Roger. Being asked to front Queen is the best thing that can possibly happen."
Now via his Twitter account, Lambert revealed that his comments were taken out of context. He wrote "Oooh them clever reporters takin my quotes outta context.... I haven't confirmed any guest appearances. I was talking about the EMA'S. :)" [Lambert joined Queen on stage at the EMA's in November]. He continued "That being said, I'm truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions mr journalist!! :)."
